Liposuction

Liposuction, also known as “liposelection” or “suction-assisted lipectomy” is a cosmetic surgical procedure using a variety of techniques and methods to reduce excess fat in specific areas. This procedure may be used in conjunction with liposuction, because they share the similar goal of targeting a specific area that does not respond to dieting and exercise. They also complement one another; liposuction entails the suctioning of fat from the waist and abdominal area, while a tummy tuck involves the tightening of muscles and removal of excess skin.

Abdominoplasty can also benefit weight-loss patients who have lost skin elasticity in the abdominal region. This cosmetic surgical procedure, can make a patient feel more confident with a sleeker midsection.

Body Contouring

Even after a patient undergoes weight loss surgery, his or her body may still be in need of additional body contouring procedures like liposuction, an upper arm lift, or a tummy tuck. These procedures help reduce the amount of excess skin that loosely hangs off the body after a large amount of fat has been removed.

Body contouring, also known as a body lift, can successfully remove extra fat from certain areas and redrape the skin. An entire body lift consists of various body contouring procedures combined into a single operation. This procedure may require about two to three sessions to complete, depending on body areas involved.
