Arm Lift

After weight loss surgery or massive weight loss, the skin of the upper arm often appears loose and flabby. If exercise alone is not enough, the sagging skin or "bat wings" can be addressed by an arm lift. Brachioplasty or arm lift involves liposuction of the upper arm and excision of the excess skin. Usually, an incision from the armpit to the elbow is necessary to achieve the best contour. Patients with less skin laxity can have the incision concealed in the arm pit or short sleeve shirt. The scars are on the inside or posterior aspect of the upper arm. Arm lift is performed with general anesthesia at an outpatient surgery center. Patients typically take one week off of work and wear compression arm sleeves for one month.

Labiaplasty
