Liquid Magic in a Syringe – Bellafill

Posted July 17, 2019 in Acne Scars, Age Defense, Bellafill, Face, Skin Care

As we age, we often find ourselves looking in the mirror and noticing how much our skin has changed over time. It’s looser, wrinkles may lay on your forehead or around your mouth, and sometimes acne scars from our teenage years still linger.

Bellafill is the extraordinary solution to all these problems.

What is Bellafill?

Bellafill is the only FDA approved filler that is proven to last up to five years, correcting wrinkles and moderate to severe acne scars. In 2006 Bellafill gained FDA approval, making it the first and only FDA-approved non-resorbable filler. This means that Bellafill will work with your skin to correct your wrinkles for years after you receive your treatments. Bellafill is also the only dermal filler on the market approved for the correction of facial acne scars on patients over the age of 21 years. This makes it a very unique and desirable filler. Overall, Bellafill helps with the loss of volume, facial deformities and many other problems that you may be experiencing

Where can Bellafill be used?

Bellafill can be used for nasolabial folds or smile lines, marionette lines, the pre-jowl area, under eye hollows, the temples, the cheek bones, the back of the hand, indented scars as well as acne scars.

Why is Bellafill better than other fillers?

Bellafill, otherwise known as a liquid facelift, has some definite advantages over other alternatives, like:

  • Immediate, visible results with minimal downtime
  • A quick, and easy in office procedure
  • Excellent safety profile.
  • Results continue to improve over the course of several months
  • Bellafill never stops working to help your skin
  • Provides a temporary “lift” to the face as the skin becomes plumper and firmer

Bellafill also makes your life a little easier! Because Bellafill lasts up to 5 years, you’ll most likely be able to skip some of the maintenance injections required with other fillers. You may still want to add filler, but you’ll be adding filler, not replacing filler you’ve lost.  Of course, if there are any questions Dr. mess would love to see you!

How does Bellafill work?

Bellafill is formulated with PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres and mostly purified bovine collagen gel with local anesthetic to ensure you are comfortable while being injected. The collagen is absorbed over the first three to four months after your injection. While the collagen is being absorbed, the PMMA asks your body to make its own collagen. In plain English, the collagen in the Bellafill initially corrects and fills your wrinkles or acne scars, then the microspheres provide the permanent support your skin needs for long lasting correction. In the end your body will make your own tissue, making sure your skin is able to withstand the test of time.

How much does Bellafill Cost?

Bellafill costs $1,000 per syringe. We also offer special pricing on 5 syringe kits for liquid facelifts or significant acne scarring. The total cost will vary depending on the extent of the treatment needed for you to best achieve your end goal.

How soon will I see results?

The wonderful results you will achieve with Bellafill will show immediately. When the dermal filler is first injected, there will be mild swelling, so there will be exaggerated volume at first. However, after a short period of time the swelling will dissipate.
